WHO WE ARE

Fulu Fursuits

A premade fursuit shop, a commission workshop, and a shelf of parts for people who build their own. What the name means, what we sell, and how it reaches you.

福瑞兽 — fúruìshòu. Three characters, three readings. 福瑞 (fúruì) is how Chinese furries say “furry” — the fandom’s own word. 瑞兽 (ruìshòu) is the classic name for an auspicious beast, the lucky creatures of Chinese tradition. Read it together and you get what we make: the lucky furry beast. In English we go by Fulu — 福 fortune, 禄 prosperity.

Lucky beasts, made wearable

China has always had lucky beasts. Stone lions guard doorways, qilin bring good omens, pixiu gathers fortune. An auspicious beast is not something you fear — it is something you are glad to have around, because good things follow it.

The West has called those stone lions “foo dogs” for four hundred years, from a misread of 福 — the character for fortune. They saw a fortune beast and said dog. We make them wearable.

What we sell

Three things, and they work differently.

Premade fursuits. Heads, partials and fullsuits, from $998. Every one is finished, photographed as it ships, and one of one. When a piece sells it does not come back, and its number is never reused. Each listing states the measured fit it was built for, because a premade suit is the size it is.

Commissions. Built to your character, priced on the page rather than by email — the calculator gives you a range before you talk to us. Lead times are stated up front and they are long, because that is what building one honestly takes.

Workshop supplies. Fur, head bases, eyes, paws, padding, cooling and care — the parts for people building their own. Priced per piece with the specifications stated.

The bestiary

Every suit we finish becomes an entry in a bestiary rather than a row in a catalog. It gets a number, a realm, and a description of what it is. Sold pieces stay in the book, marked IN THE WORLD — the record is not deleted when the piece finds someone.

You can read it at the bestiary.

How we ship

We ship from Austin, Texas or Hangzhou, China — whichever has your piece — and most orders leave us in about 4 days. From Hangzhou a parcel always travels by air, the fastest way we can get it to you. Shipping is US$14.95 and free on orders of US$99 or more — every suit clears that by a wide margin. In Canada and Australia both figures are shown in your own currency. We ship to the United States, Canada, Australia and Norway, and nothing is owed on delivery.

Repairs are available and quoted case by case. What can be returned, and what cannot, is written out in full on the refund policy rather than summarized here.
