Terms of service

These terms cover your use of this store and any order you place with Fulu Fursuits. By ordering, you agree to them. If something here does not sit right with you, email hello@fulufursuits.com before you buy rather than after.

What we sell

Fulu Fursuits sells fursuits and fursuit parts two ways.

Premade — pieces that are already finished, photographed, and in stock. Every listing is one of one: there is a single unit of each, and when it sells it is gone. A premade piece is sold as it is; it cannot be resized or altered to order.

Commissions — pieces built to your character and your measurements, ordered through our commissions page. The terms below under "Commissions" apply in addition to everything else in this document.

Commissions

What the calculator gives you is an estimate. The price shown on the commissions page is generated from the build options you select. It is not a quote and not a contract price. We give you the final price after we have seen your reference sheet, normally within two business days of your deposit.

Your deposit is fully refundable until we confirm. Reserving a slot places a deposit. Until we confirm in writing that we are taking your commission, you may cancel for any reason and we refund the deposit in full. We may also decline — if the design is outside what we build, or the reference is not usable — and you get the same full refund.

After we confirm, the deposit stops being refundable, because at that point it pays for materials bought for your piece. We tell you in writing on the day that changes. Cancelling after confirmation but before we start building refunds half the deposit; once building has started, the deposit is not refundable.

The balance is invoiced separately. The deposit is not the price. We invoice the remaining balance before the piece ships, and nothing is charged to you automatically.

Design and changes. Two rounds of changes to the design are included before we start building. After building starts, the design is fixed. We build from your reference sheet and your measurements; we do not require a duct tape dummy.

What we will not build. Closed species, characters owned by someone else, adult content, and hateful imagery. Reference sheets we look at case by case — send yours however you made it and we will tell you whether we can build from it before you pay anything.

Lead times are estimates. The lead time shown for each build type is our working estimate from confirmation, not a guaranteed delivery date. If a commission is going to run materially past its estimate, we tell you rather than let the date pass quietly.

Commissions are for adults. You must be 18 or over to place a commission. If the wearer is under 18, an adult must place the order and be the person we correspond with.

Orders and availability

An order is an offer to buy; the contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. Because stock is one-of-one, in the rare event that two orders capture the same piece, the first completed checkout gets it and we refund the other in full, immediately.

We may cancel and refund an order if a piece turns out to be unavailable, if a listing carried a pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud.

Photos, colors, and descriptions

The photos on each listing show the actual piece you will receive — not a sample, not a render, not a similar suit. We do not alter fur colors in editing. Screens vary, so small differences in how a color reads are possible; anything beyond that is covered by our Refund Policy as "not as described".

Condition

Every piece is brand new. During construction our designers briefly wear pieces to check ergonomic fit. That is the only wear a suit has had when it reaches you, and we disclose it as a matter of course.

Sizing and fit

Premade suits are fixed sizes. Each listing states the wearer height range and head circumference the piece was built for, taken from the actual piece. Pieces cannot be resized, and no suit fits everyone. Measuring yourself against the listed range before you order is your responsibility — and we are glad to help if you ask first. Fit is not a ground for return where the published measurements were accurate.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and are fixed — we do not take offers. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers; we never see or store your full card details. Shop Pay Installments, where offered, is provided by a third party and is subject to that provider's terms and eligibility checks. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout.

Shipping, returns, and repairs

Our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy form part of these terms. In short: we ship within the US and to the countries listed at checkout, duty-paid on orders outside the US; shipping is free over $49.80 and $7.95 below it, the same figures everywhere; a US order is dispatched within four days, and international orders take longer; no change-of-mind or fit returns; transit damage, loss, and not-as-described are covered; repairs are available and quoted case by case.

Wearing a suit safely

A fursuit restricts your vision, hearing, and airflow, and it gets hot fast. Please:

never drive, cycle, or operate machinery in suit;
take regular breaks out of head, and drink water — heat exhaustion is the single most common fursuiting injury;
use a spotter or handler in crowds, near stairs, roads, and water;
keep suits away from open flame, heaters, and lit cigarettes — synthetic fur is heat-sensitive and can melt;
supervise minors wearing a suit at all times.

You wear the suit at your own risk, and you are responsible for the conditions you wear it in.

Care

Follow the care guidance we provide with the piece. Damage caused by machine washing, tumble drying, heat styling, dyeing, or alterations is not our responsibility and may make future repairs impossible.

Our designs and this site

All the pieces we sell are our own original designs. We do not build closed-species or copyrighted characters. The designs, photographs, and text on this site are our intellectual property — you are welcome to share our photos of the suit you bought, but not to reuse our images or copy for commercial purposes, or to resell pieces as our current-season work.

Who can buy

You must be 18 or over to place an order, or have a parent or guardian do it for you. Please keep your account details to yourself, and do not use this site to break the law or to disrupt it for anyone else.

Liability

We stand behind what we make, and our Refund Policy sets out how we fix things when they go wrong. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

Fulu Fursuits operates from Texas, USA. These terms — and any dispute arising from them or from an order — are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Texas are the venue for any dispute.

This does not take away the consumer protections you have where you live. If the law of your home state gives you rights that cannot be waived by agreement, those rights still apply.
