This is an estimate, not a final price. We confirm within 2 business days of receiving your deposit and reference sheet — if we can't take it, or you change your mind before we confirm, you get every cent back. The balance is invoiced separately before we ship.

HOW IT GOES

Six steps. No guessing in between.

  1. You reserve a slot

    Pick your build above, upload your reference sheet, pay the deposit.

  2. We confirm

    We check the design is something we can actually build, and give you the final price. If we can't take it, you get a full refund — no argument, no restocking fee.

  3. Design locked

    Two rounds of changes are included. Measurements by tape and a short video — no duct tape dummy, no $30 of postage.

    Progress photos as it goes. Foam, fur, face, then the trimming that decides how it reads.

    The rest is due before it ships. We send an invoice — nothing is charged to you automatically.

  6. It ships by air

    Checked piece by piece, then flown to you from Hangzhou — the fastest way we can get it there. Tracking is emailed as soon as it is moving. Nothing is owed on delivery.

Most makers ask you to pay before you've seen anything of theirs in person. Every piece here is finished, photographed as it is, and numbered in the bestiary. Look at those first — then decide whether to hand us a commission.

The deposit

Refundable in full until we confirm your build. After we confirm and before we start building you can still cancel: we refund the deposit less the cost of any materials already bought for your piece, and we tell you what those were. Once building has started it is not refundable.

You must be 18

A commission is a contract, so we only take them from adults. Under 18, an adult has to place the order and be the person we talk to.

What we won't build

Closed species, characters someone else owns, anything adult, anything hateful. Send your reference sheet over however you have it — we'll tell you if we can build from it.

Is the price on this page the price I pay?

It's an estimate, and it says so. The builder knows piece type, style and add-ons — it doesn't know how intricate your character's markings are, or about a feature that isn't on the list. We give you the final number within two business days of receiving your deposit and reference sheet. Nothing is confirmed until you have agreed to that number, and you can walk away with a full refund at that point.

Do I have to make a duct tape dummy?

No. Most makers ask for one and it costs you an evening plus around $30 in tape and postage. We work from tape measurements and a short video instead. If we ever hit a build where that isn't enough, we'll tell you before you've paid anything.

What happens when you're full?

The reserve button turns into a waitlist. We won't take a deposit for a slot that doesn't exist.

Can I pay it off over time?

Yes. If you check out in the United States, Shop Pay can split a deposit under US$1,000 into four interest-free payments and offers monthly plans on larger ones — it shows you the exact terms, including any interest, before you confirm. Shop Pay plans are not offered in Canada, Australia or Norway; ask us, and the balance can be paid in six monthly payments while we build, with no interest.

Does my commission go in the bestiary?

Yes. It gets a number in the order it's recorded, the same as everything else we build, and the number is never reused. When it reaches you it's marked in the world — and it stays in the bestiary for good.
